Now available — in response to requests by gamers — The RallyBird Baseball Board Game Add-On Kit: Big League & Coach Card Easy Advanced Game.
It includes: 30 color Big League team tiles, 24 new Glove tiles, easy 2018 team performance rules, easy Coach card advanced defense rules, and my commentary.
The Big League rules adapts historic team performance in broad focus RallyBird Baseball terms. At this time the 2018 season is available and included in the kit. Please note that “MLB” and its 30 team names are trademarks™ or registered® trademarks of their respective holders. Use of them does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by them.
Separate from the Big League part of the kit is the Coach defense cards, which make use of the larger array of Glove tile values to assign each players’ defense different sets of strengths of weakness. In comparison, the regular RallyBird Board Game’s gives both sides the same set of Glove tiles (with a choice each half inning between 2 Glove tiles). The easy advanced game here sets up asymmetrical defenses using Coach defense array cards that apportion different sets of tile value arrays.
Arguably each type of Coach defense array is equal in strength, but different in risks and rewards, therefore leading toward different tactics and different angles of that good mental stress, competitive anxiety and nervous excitement games can offer. A defense strategy with fewer risks might be easier for offense to outwit–or is that wrong? Unsheathe the sharp swords of your opinions as you explore your baseball defense options!
Both the Big League and the Coach card add-on offer the quick set up and the normal rapid RallyBird Baseball pace of play.
